About this role
ARCO is seeking a Commissioning Manager to oversee the planning and execution of commissioning activities on mission-critical data center projects based in Indianapolis. In this role, you would lead the full commissioning lifecycle—from design review through operational turnover—coordinating across project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure electrical, mechanical, controls, and life safety systems perform to specification. Your responsibilities would include developing commissioning schedules and documentation, conducting integrated systems testing, managing punch lists and deficiencies, and supporting the owner's operations team through training and O&M documentation development.
This position requires at least five years of hands-on commissioning experience, ideally with data centers, plus a strong technical foundation in electrical and mechanical systems and integrated testing protocols. You should hold a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, and be comfortable managing multiple stakeholders under pressure while traveling or remaining site-based as needed. The role demands both technical depth and project coordination skills to ensure a smooth transition from construction to operations.
ARCO offers competitive benefits including performance-based bonuses, 100% employer-funded ESOP, traditional and Roth 401k options, tuition reimbursement, three weeks of vacation, paid sabbaticals after five years, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. The company is a privately-owned design-build firm with over 30 years in the industry and a track record of completing thousands of projects nationwide.
