We’re excited about you because…

About this role

DoorDash's Grocery & Retail Services team is building an enterprise SaaS business aimed at helping merchants create custom digital shopping experiences, and they're looking for the first Solutions Architect to help establish how this new vertical scales. You'd be hired into a team that still feels like a startup despite the company's maturity, working directly with grocery and retail partners to map their business needs onto DoorDash's product suite. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape the playbook, processes, and success metrics for a business the company views as strategically pivotal.

The role blends consulting, sales engineering, and product strategy. You'll become expert in both DoorDash's offerings and enterprise retail tech stacks, then guide merchants through decisions about integrating those solutions into their infrastructure. You'll work across merchants, product, engineering, sales, and operations teams, operating at both the strategic level—identifying growth vectors and building roadmaps—and the tactical level, sweating details to ensure smooth execution as you scale.

The ideal candidate has 6–10+ years in solutions architecture, sales engineering, growth, product ops, or technical GTM, ideally with e-commerce experience. You're a strong communicator who can translate technical complexity into business value, you thrive building structure from chaos with minimal oversight, and you move fast without sacrificing ownership. The role is based in New York City and in-office, with a salary range of $136,000–$200,000, equity opportunities, and comprehensive benefits including 16 weeks of paid parental leave.
