About this role
Cordell & Cordell's Dallas office is hiring an Estate Planning Attorney to handle the full lifecycle of estate matters—from initial client consultations through probate representation and trust administration. You'll draft estate planning documents across a range of client net worth levels, manage your own caseload, and represent clients in probate court proceedings. The role requires regular in-office presence for client meetings and document signings, though some schedule flexibility is available.
This position calls for a Texas-licensed attorney with at least five years of practice experience and demonstrated expertise in estate planning, probate, and trust administration. While the core requirements focus on these areas, the firm particularly values candidates with trust and probate litigation experience, knowledge of high-net-worth and Medicaid planning, or a background as a trust officer. Experience representing clients in guardianship and conservatorship matters is also preferred, as is an existing client base you could bring to the firm.
Cordell & Cordell emphasizes career development and work-life balance as part of its culture. Benefits include fully employer-paid health, dental, and life insurance premiums, a 401(k) with matching, and a wellness program with potential premium incentives. This is a full-time, in-office role designed for an experienced attorney looking to grow within a national firm focused on family law and estate matters.
