About this role

Diligent Robotics is building AI-powered service robots designed to work alongside people in clinical settings, and this part-time field role is essential to keeping that fleet operational. As a Field Service Technician, you'd handle preventative maintenance, troubleshoot complex robotic systems, and respond to incidents that directly affect hospital operations. You'll work Friday evenings and full weekend days (4pm–9pm Friday, 9am–5pm Saturday and Sunday), with travel up to 80% of the time within the Los Angeles region to conduct on-site repairs and root cause analysis—all expenses covered.

The position demands hands-on technical depth. You'll need at least three years of experience with commercial products, solid troubleshooting skills for complex systems, and practical competency with electrical and mechanical tools (multimeters, soldering, crimping, hand tools). Comfort with basic command-line tools and the ability to read schematics and assembly drawings are expected. You should be comfortable working independently in the field, managing your own quality and execution, and you'll need to obtain vendor credentials with partner hospitals.

This role suits someone local to Los Angeles who can handle short-notice travel, thrives solving difficult technical problems under pressure, and has the work ethic to keep critical equipment running with minimal supervision. You must be a US citizen or permanent resident with work authorization. The pay is $25 per hour.
