Trusted by many of the most recognized names in technology and SaaS, Reachdesk integrates effortlessly with marketing, sales, and HRIS tech stacks and is powered by our world-class team across New York, London, and Lisbon.

We’re growing, and we’re currently looking for an Accounting Manager to join us.

About the Role

We’re looking for an exceptional, hands-on accounting leader to own our accounting function day to day, from monthly close through consolidated US GAAP financials, audits, controls, and technical accounting. Reporting to the CFO, you’ll ensure the integrity of our numbers, develop the team, and continuously improve how the function operates.

Our business model uniquely combines SaaS and prepaid customer wallets with a global gift marketplace, branded merchandise, and international fulfillment. Across six entities and multiple currencies, that creates complex accounting across revenue recognition, principal versus agent judgements, wallet balances and breakage, physical goods, intercompany, FX, tax, and statutory reporting.

Your impact will extend beyond Accounting. You’ll work directly with leaders and teams across the business on new initiatives and complex problems, bringing strong judgement, practical solutions, and the ability to drive work through completion. You’ll be equally comfortable in the accounting detail and understanding the broader business implications.

You’ll help accelerate the close, strengthen controls, and build a high-performing international accounting team. You’ll work with NetSuite, SuiteBilling, and an integrated finance stack processing tens of thousands of transactions each month, with a strong focus on automation and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and US GAAP consolidation across six entities, including intercompany, FX revaluation, and translation, driving a reliable close in 10 working days or fewer.
  • Own balance sheet integrity, ensuring material accounts are properly reconciled, supported, and reviewed.
  • Lead technical accounting analysis across revenue recognition, principal versus agent, customer wallet balances and breakage, landed cost, and vendor rebates, recommending positions to the CFO and ensuring they are implemented correctly.
  • Lead the group and UK statutory audits from planning through fieldwork and sign-off.
  • Own and improve internal controls, including controls over prepaid customer wallet funds and segregation of duties.
  • Manage statutory accounts and tax compliance with external advisers, including corporate tax, US sales tax, and UK and EU VAT.
  • Work directly with leaders and teams across the business on projects and new initiatives where Finance is involved, bringing accounting and commercial perspective and driving the Finance work through completion.
  • Improve accounting processes, systems, and automation across NetSuite and key integrations to increase speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Lead, develop, and performance-manage the international accounting team, setting clear expectations and a high bar for performance.

About You

  • Strong hands-on accounting background, typically 5+ years, ideally including public accounting or experience in a complex, multi-entity business.
  • Strong US GAAP knowledge, including ASC 606 and principal versus agent judgements.
  • Experience running a multi-entity, multi-currency close and preparing consolidation, including intercompany and FX, and supporting external audits.
  • Strong technical and business judgement, with the ability to research accounting positions, understand broader implications, and communicate clear recommendations.
  • Cross-functional partner who builds credibility across the business, works independently and collaboratively with leaders and teams, and drives complex work through resolution.
  • People leader who sets clear expectations, develops the team, and builds capability across it.
  • Experience operating internal controls in an audited environment.
  • Hands-on ERP experience, ideally NetSuite, with a track record of using systems and automation to improve processes.
  • Proactive, organized, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-moving international business.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
  • Experience with physical goods, marketplace, stored-value, prepaid, or payments accounting, including areas such as landed cost, vendor rebates, customer funds, gift cards, or breakage.
  • Experience with UK and European entities, including statutory accounts, VAT, or other local compliance requirements.
  • NetSuite experience in a high-volume environment, ideally including SuiteBilling and integration-driven transactions.

The Benefits

  • Competitive salary with generous stock options
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Medical, dental & vision insurance, including mental health support and fast access to care
  • Flexible PTO that increases the longer you’re with us, plus extra flexibility for life’s unexpected moments
  • A genuinely collaborative culture with innovative, fun, and ambitious people

About this role

Reachdesk is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function for a SaaS gifting platform with a complex business model spanning six entities, multiple currencies, and both digital and physical goods. Reporting to the CFO, you'll own the monthly close, consolidation, and US GAAP financials while managing technical accounting challenges unique to their business—revenue recognition, principal versus agent judgements, customer wallet accounting, and breakage analysis. You'll also lead group and UK statutory audits, oversee internal controls, and manage tax compliance across US and international jurisdictions.

The role demands someone with 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally from public accounting or a multi-entity environment, with strong US GAAP knowledge and hands-on proficiency in NetSuite. Beyond technical accounting skills, you'll need to partner across the business on strategic initiatives, translating complex accounting issues into practical solutions that leaders can act on. You'll build and develop an international accounting team while driving process improvements and automation across the finance stack.

This is a remote position based on the US East Coast, with a salary range of $140,000–$170,000, stock options, 401(k) matching, and comprehensive health benefits. The role suits someone who thrives in complexity, enjoys both deep technical work and cross-functional collaboration, and is energized by building systems and teams in a fast-growing company.
