About this role
Helpr is seeking an experienced caregiver for a temporary assignment in the Bay Point area, caring for a 72-year-old woman from mid-November through mid-December, with potential to extend. The role involves two hours daily, seven days a week, providing attentive supervision and practical support to someone who is generally independent but manages mobility challenges and seizure-related risks. You'd assist with morning routines, light meals, medication reminders, basic health monitoring including glucose and blood pressure checks, and light housekeeping—with the client's son present during your shifts.
This position requires at least two years of professional caregiving experience, current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain it), a valid driver's license with clean record and insurance, and the ability to respond calmly to medical emergencies. You'll need to be observant and quick-thinking, capable of preventing falls and knowing when to call 911. The work pays $20 per hour plus reimbursement for emergency driving, totaling approximately 14 hours weekly.
This is best suited to someone seeking short-term, predictable part-time work with a straightforward caregiving focus. The consistent morning schedule and defined end date make it manageable alongside other commitments, though the daily commitment across all seven days should factor into your decision.
