Other companies highlight perks.

About this role

The Perfect Workout is hiring entry-level personal trainers in Del Mar for part-time work, with no prior experience required. The company covers the cost of in-house certification and structures compensation as a base hourly rate plus commission, ranging from $16.90 to $34.04 per hour, with additional performance-based bonuses available. You'll work steady schedules with opportunities to advance, and qualified employees receive 401(k) and supplemental medical benefits along with free personal training sessions and PTO.

This role suits someone genuinely committed to growth and continuous improvement rather than simply filling hours. You'll deliver strength training coaching, lead introductory workouts, build member relationships that drive retention, and work within a culture that values feedback and accountability. The company explicitly seeks people who respond well to being challenged and coached, take ownership of their results, and balance sales goals with authentic client relationships.

If you're looking for a straightforward gym job or prefer to avoid feedback and challenge, this won't be the fit. But if you're motivated by mastery, thrive on honest communication, and want to build a meaningful coaching career from the ground up, this could be a strong match.
