About this role
The Perfect Workout is hiring entry-level personal trainers in Pleasanton who are willing to invest in their own development. The company covers certification costs in-house, so no prior experience is required—you'll be trained to deliver strength training, coach members through workouts, and build relationships that drive retention. The role is part-time with steady scheduling, and compensation ranges from $16.90 to $25.94 per hour, combining base pay with commission and performance bonuses.
This position suits someone genuinely motivated by growth and feedback rather than just picking up hours. You'll be expected to show up consistently, take ownership of your work, and embrace being challenged. The company explicitly states it's not the right fit if you're looking to coast or avoid discomfort—instead, it attracts trainers who want to develop mastery, connect authentically with members, and build a real career. Qualified employees also receive PTO, 401(k) access, and supplemental medical benefits.
If you're drawn to sales-driven work but want it grounded in genuine client relationships, and you're the kind of person who sees feedback as fuel rather than criticism, this could be a meaningful entry point into personal training.
