About this role
The Wilshire Group is seeking a Senior Patient Access Analyst/Project Manager to lead enterprise-scale healthcare transformation work, primarily supporting Epic Patient Access implementations and optimization initiatives. This remote contract role sits at the intersection of clinical operations and technology, requiring someone who can manage complex project lifecycles—from workflow assessment through go-live and stabilization—while coordinating across IT, clinical, revenue cycle, and executive teams. You'll need active Epic certifications in Cadence, Prelude, and/or Referrals, along with at least 10 years of project management experience, ideally in healthcare IT or Patient Access operations.
The position demands both technical depth and leadership capability. You'll develop project plans and timelines, identify operational improvements, manage risks and dependencies, oversee system testing and implementation readiness, and drive change management across large healthcare organizations. This is independent work managing multiple workstreams simultaneously, with roughly 25% travel required and availability during Central Time business hours. The role suits someone with proven success on large-scale healthcare projects—whether implementations, upgrades, or enterprise transformations—who can translate technical requirements into operational reality and communicate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.
Compensation is $100–$120 per hour on a contract basis. A PMP or other project management certification and prior consulting experience with hospital systems or academic medical centers are preferred but not required.
