About this role
Premier Truck Rental's Fort Wayne yard needs someone to keep its fleet moving and organized. As a Porter, you'd spend your days safely maneuvering light and medium-duty trucks around the yard and into the facility, operating equipment in tight spaces, and coordinating with team members to ensure vehicles are positioned and ready for rental. The role also includes equipment inspections, lot maintenance, and assisting with loading and unloading—work that demands attention to detail, quick thinking in a fast-paced environment, and comfort working outdoors year-round.
You'll need a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, along with strong communication skills and the flexibility to adapt as priorities shift. A CDL or prior porter experience would strengthen your candidacy, but the company is willing to train someone with the right attitude and work ethic. The position runs Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, starting at $19.65 per hour with overtime eligibility. Benefits kick in immediately and include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and access to an on-site gym with a dedicated trainer.
