About this role

Nexamp's Site Origination team is building the solar and energy storage pipeline that powers the company's growth across target markets. As a Business Development Representative, you'd own the early-stage work of finding viable project sites, evaluating their feasibility through due diligence and regulatory research, and securing lease agreements with landowners and commercial property stakeholders. This role blends sales fundamentals—cold outreach, relationship building, deal negotiation—with technical site assessment, requiring you to move fluidly between stakeholder conversations and GIS analysis, zoning research, and interconnection evaluation.

The position suits someone with at least two years of sales experience who's comfortable with high-volume outbound work and can translate that into sustained landowner relationships. You'll need to think analytically about risk and feasibility, ask sharp questions to uncover problems, and propose solutions that move projects forward. Travel within your assigned region is expected, and you'll work hybrid from either Boston or Chicago, reporting to the Director of Site Origination.

Nexamp offers a salary range of $74,000 to $92,000, plus performance incentives, stock options eligibility, 401(k) matching, health benefits from day one, flexible PTO, commuter benefits, and cell phone reimbursement. The company emphasizes mission-driven work in clean energy alongside a collaborative culture focused on innovation and environmental impact.
