About this role
Horrocks is seeking a Senior Administrative Document Controls Manager to anchor operations for their Texas office in Dallas. You'll serve as the record keeper and organizational backbone for project documentation while acting as the primary liaison between engineers, subconsultants, clients, and utility owners. The role blends traditional administrative support—calendar management, meeting coordination, and proposal editing—with specialized document control expertise, requiring proficiency in SharePoint, Bluebeam, and Adobe Pro alongside a solid grasp of engineering and construction documentation standards. You'll also own event planning for an office of 30+ employees and help establish file structure architecture across software systems.
This position demands at least ten years of related experience and a bachelor's degree, with TxDOT precertification preferred. You need strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and the discretion to handle sensitive information. The role currently operates remotely until a permanent Dallas office opens, then transitions to in-office work. The salary range is $45,000–$50,000, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, generous paid time off, a 401(k) with 50% match up to 6%, and professional development support.
This role suits someone with deep document control experience in construction or engineering who thrives as a trusted operational partner to professional staff and enjoys both the detail work of records management and the interpersonal demands of coordinating across multiple stakeholder groups.
