About this role

DLH is hiring a Public Health Analyst to support the CDC's Division of HIV Prevention in Atlanta, working on data management and analysis initiatives that strengthen the nation's capacity to monitor the HIV epidemic. This is a hybrid contract role where you'll spend most time working remotely but visit the CDC campus as needed for in-person meetings and collaboration.

The position centers on technical documentation and project coordination. You'll update and draft user guides and process documents, often making existing materials more generic and broadly applicable across systems. You'll also manage project logistics—scheduling meetings, tracking deliverables, and ensuring team members complete assigned work—while supporting the elicitation and documentation of business requirements through stakeholder meetings and follow-up. This requires strong written communication, the ability to ask clarifying questions until requirements are truly understood, and skill in translating technical information for audiences unfamiliar with specific tools.

The role requires either a master's degree in public health or a related field plus two years of project management experience, or a bachelor's degree plus four years of project management experience. You'll need familiarity with public health budgets, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft tools. Public Trust clearance eligibility is required. Experience in public health project management, business analysis, and certifications like CPH or PMP are valued. DLH provides standard benefits including PTO, health coverage, 401(k) matching, and professional development support.
