About this role
At The MJ Companies, this role blends client consultation with active business development. You'll work with both new and existing clients to understand their risk management needs, then design and pitch tailored insurance solutions—drawing on deep knowledge of their industry, regulations, and operational challenges. The work involves building long-term relationships with decision makers, managing your own sales pipeline, and collaborating across departments to close opportunities. You'll also represent the company at industry events and mentor newer sales producers as they develop.
The position suits someone with 3 to 10 years in risk management or sales who thrives on independent execution and measurable results. You'll need a bachelor's degree in a related field and a Property & Casualty license (or the ability to obtain one). Beyond technical skills—proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word—success here depends on strong negotiation and communication abilities, genuine coachability, and the self-discipline to manage your own performance against clear sales goals. This is an in-office role in Denver, Colorado.
