About this role
BOLDSCIENCE is looking for someone to launch a medical communications career with structured mentorship and real client exposure. This Associate Medical Writer role suits recent graduates or early-career professionals with advanced degrees in science, medicine, or pharmacy who have demonstrated writing ability through their research or academic work. You'll move quickly from shadowing to drafting—developing slide decks, manuscripts, digital materials, and meeting content under close guidance from senior writers. The work spans multiple therapy areas and client types, so you'll build broad knowledge fast.
The role demands intellectual curiosity and self-direction. You'll be expected to read scientific literature independently, ask questions to deepen your understanding of both the science and the industry, and take ownership of your output—from data accuracy to PowerPoint design. You'll also need to be organized across competing projects, communicate proactively with your team about progress and blockers, and stay composed when priorities shift. Strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to receive and act on feedback are non-negotiable.
This is a remote, full-time position suited to someone who wants structured entry into medical communications with mentorship built in, rather than learning on the job alone. You should be comfortable with timesheets and billing expectations, and ready to contribute meaningfully to client work from day one, even as you're still learning the craft.
