Due to strong growth and exciting momentum within our business, we are seeking a high-calibre Injury Liability Claims Officer to join our expanding team.

In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of injury liability claims, working end-to-end to deliver timely, commercially sound and customer-focused outcomes. You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders and trusted external partners, applying your expertise to manage risk, control costs and deliver exceptional claims experiences.

Working within a collaborative and technically skilled team, you'll have the opportunity to apply your expertise across complex liability matters, partner with legal and industry specialists, and contribute to positive outcomes for our customers and business.

What you'll do:

• Manage a portfolio of injury liability claims from validation to finalisation in a timely and cost-efficient manner in accordance with Service Standard requirements.
• Determine appropriate policy coverage, including indemnity, legal liability and quantum issues.
• Develop and implement effective claim strategies to achieve optimal customer and commercial outcomes.
• Appoint, instruct and liaise with service providers including solicitors, brokers, investigators and loss adjusters.
• Maintain realistic and adequate reserves/estimates on all claims to reflect ongoing claims costs and closely monitor significant estimate fluctuations.
• Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders while delivering a high standard of service throughout the claim lifecycle.

What you'll bring:

• Demonstrated experience managing injury liability, public liability, professional indemnity or other long-tail claims (highly regarded).
• Strong understanding of liability, negligence and indemnity principles.
• Insurance claims experience.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess information, identify key issues and determine practical solutions.
• Experience working with legal representatives, investigators and external service providers.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and decision-making skills.
• A customer-centric mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes within set timeframes.
