About this role

Four Hands is looking for an intern to support its demand planning function during the spring 2027 term, a 12-week, on-site position in Austin. You'll work on the operational backbone of forecasting and inventory management—entering and reconciling data on purchase orders and inventory, maintaining planning tools and reports, and generating regular performance metrics for sales and stock levels. The role involves partnering with global teams on purchase order and receipt processes, so you'll see how demand planning decisions ripple across the organization.

This internship suits someone currently studying business, supply chain management, data analytics, or a related field who has solid Excel skills, particularly with functions like IF and VLOOKUP. The work is hands-on and detail-oriented rather than strategic; you're building competency in data accuracy, reporting, and the mechanics of how forecasts and inventory systems work. If you're looking to test whether demand planning or supply chain operations interests you before graduation, and you can commit to being on-site in Austin from January through April 2027, this gives you direct exposure to how a growing, established furniture company manages its planning operations.
