About this role
At The Trade Desk, you'd manage a portfolio of automotive clients—agencies and major domestic brands—with direct responsibility for growing revenue while serving as a strategic partner to these accounts. The role combines hands-on account ownership with cross-functional collaboration; you'd work closely with Sales and Trading teams to develop client strategies, lead quarterly business reviews, and own the training and onboarding experience for new clients navigating programmatic advertising. You'd also represent client needs back to Product Management, helping shape platform improvements based on real market feedback.
This position suits someone with 7+ years in digital advertising and solid programmatic experience, whether from a DSP, agency, publisher, or similar environment. You'll need strong analytical skills to work with data and build insights, excellent interpersonal abilities to manage complex client relationships, and the problem-solving mindset to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The role requires travel as needed and is based in Detroit with in-office attendance expected.
The Trade Desk operates at significant scale—processing real-time data globally across its advertising platform—so your work directly impacts how major brands reach audiences across streaming, mobile, podcasts, and other channels. If you're energized by owning client growth, translating business objectives into strategic solutions, and working within a high-growth organization, this role offers meaningful scope and visibility.
