About this role
Main Street Health's Cancer Center in Denison is seeking someone who can wear multiple hats—part clinical support staff, part relationship builder, part marketer. The Community & Patient Liaison role blends day-to-day clinic operations (rooming patients, coordinating labs and appointments, managing treatment orders) with outreach to referring providers across the region. You'd spend time both in the clinic supporting the oncologist and out in the community visiting provider offices, building relationships with PCPs, specialists, and office staff to strengthen referral pathways and grow the Cancer Center's patient base.
The ideal candidate holds a CMA, CNA, or LPN credential with hands-on experience in ambulatory or specialty care settings. You'll need comfort navigating EHR systems, strong communication skills to educate practices and patients alike, and the ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is a role for someone with genuine interest in rural healthcare and community engagement—someone entrepreneurial and adaptable who can identify barriers to care, track referral trends, and take initiative to solve problems without constant direction.
The position is full-time and hybrid based in Denison, Iowa, working within Main Street Health's mission to deliver sustainable, relationship-driven care to rural communities.
