About this role

Interstates is seeking a Senior Recruiter to own full-lifecycle talent acquisition for a growing electrical, controls, and automation contractor with operations nationwide. You'd be the strategic lead on recruiting for field leadership, traveling roles, and specialized technical positions—the kinds of hard-to-fill spots that matter most to the business. This means proactive sourcing and headhunting of passive candidates, building candidate pipelines, partnering with hiring managers to shape recruiting strategy, and using data and market intelligence to continuously strengthen your approach.

The role demands at least four years of recruiting experience across multiple disciplines, proven success in sourcing and engaging passive candidates, and a track record recruiting nationally for field-based, construction, industrial, or technical leadership roles. You'll need strong relationship-building and communication skills, comfort managing multiple priorities independently, and fluency with applicant tracking systems and recruiting analytics tools. A bachelor's degree is required; professional certifications like PHR or SHRM-CP are preferred, as is established professional networking in construction, industrial, or field leadership talent markets.

You'd be based in Sioux Center, Sioux Falls, Omaha, or work remotely within the Midwest, with up to 25% travel for recruiting events, hiring activities, and occasional jobsite visits. Interstates offers competitive pay, bonuses, a 401(k), health and dental coverage, paid time off, and clear advancement opportunities for someone ready to build a career with a company that prioritizes its people.
