About this role
Braskem is seeking someone to bridge market intelligence and commercial strategy for its sustainable polymer business. In this Philadelphia-based role, you would identify and communicate market trends for circular and bio-based polypropylene and polyethylene, translating customer needs back to the organization while building long-term relationships with brand owners and converters. The position requires you to develop pipeline opportunities, negotiate off-take agreements, conduct competitive and pricing analysis, and support the sales team—essentially serving as the commercial voice connecting external market demands to Braskem's product development and strategy.
This is a senior commercial role suited to someone with at least ten years of experience, ideally in chemical or plastics sales and business development. You should be comfortable with strategic analysis, value-based selling, and presenting complex technical and sustainability information to diverse stakeholders. The work involves regular travel (20–30%), hybrid flexibility from Philadelphia, and requires strong analytical skills alongside negotiation and presentation abilities. If you have a background in polymers or specialty sales, genuine interest in sustainability, and proven success in international commercial environments, this role offers the chance to shape a major company's transition toward circular economy solutions.
