CFO Technology

Accordion's CFO Technology Practice effectively and efficiently delivers the digital services and solutions to support organizational strategic initiatives.

Our CFO Technology experts work cross-functionally, alongside practitioners from all corners of Accordion, to arm CFOs with the appropriate digital solutions needed to implement the team's business process recommendations and to capitalize on value creation opportunities. From ERP, CPM, Analytics, Data Integration, RPA, and beyond, CFO Tech provides finance leaders with a single, objective partner capable of delivering from strategy to execution.

This is a newly created, presales-focused role within our xP&A pillar. You will be the hands-on engine behind our demo and solution motion across Anaplan and Pigment: building the assets, telling the story, and presenting to client stakeholders. It is a high-visibility opportunity for a self-starter to shape the role as it grows and to become our presales lead across both platforms over time.

This role can be based in any of our US office locations and is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely 2 days a week. Ideal candidates should be local to the desired location.

This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

What You’ll Do:

Presales & Demonstrations

  • Partner with our alliance and business development teams to own the solution side of the sales process: discovery, tailored demos, and proof-of-concept workshops
  • Design and deliver narrative-driven demonstrations that speak directly to a prospect's pain points, rather than walking through features
  • Present with confidence and command the room in front of client stakeholders, from finance practitioners to senior executives
  • Translate a prospect's business challenges into a clear, compelling vision of the solution

Demo & Product Asset Development

  • Independently build and maintain a library of demo models and sales collateral across Anaplan and Pigment
  • Develop proofs of concept for emerging platform capabilities (AI, workflow, Anaplan Applications) and connect them to live pursuits
  • Own the inventory and roadmap of demo and sales assets, keeping them current as the platforms evolve
  • Serve as a voice of the field back to the practice and our platform partners, surfacing what resonates with prospects

Growth & Enablement

  • Stay ahead of the latest Anaplan and Pigment features and share that knowledge across the team
  • Contribute to thought leadership by proactively identifying new whitespace and use cases the practice can pursue
  • Grow into a presales lead supporting both Pigment and Anaplan as the role matures

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Management Information Systems
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed, based on project requirements
  • Presales or solution consulting experience gained at a software vendor or another consulting firm
  • Hands-on experience in Anaplan, Pigment, or both, with the ability to build demo models and assets independently
  • Anaplan Model Builder certification (Level 2 or higher) and/or a Pigment certification preferred
  • Working understanding of core FP&A and connected planning use cases: budgeting, forecasting, workforce, driver-based planning, and scenario modeling
  • Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills, with a proven ability to make complex ideas simple, clear, and persuasive
  • Strong client-relationship, organization, and prioritization capabilities

You Are:

  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic, motivated to grow and shape a newly created role
  • Relentlessly proactive: you actively build assets, pursue new use cases, and take initiative rather than waiting for direction
  • A natural presenter who is energized by commanding a room and engaging senior stakeholders
  • Curious and quick to learn new platform capabilities across both Anaplan and Pigment
  • A thought leader who stays ahead of platform and market developments
  • Reliably available and responsive during core business hours
  • Full of entrepreneurial spirit and comfortable in a fluid, flat organization
  • A strong team player who communicates effectively across all levels
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional client service and doing meaningful work

About this role

Accordion Partners is building out a newly created presales role focused on Anaplan and Pigment, the financial planning platforms at the core of their CFO Technology practice. You'd own the demo and solution side of the sales process—from discovery conversations through proof-of-concept workshops—translating prospect pain points into compelling platform narratives. This means designing and delivering tailored demonstrations, building and maintaining a library of demo models and sales collateral, and developing proofs of concept for emerging capabilities. You'll work closely with alliance and business development teams and present regularly to finance practitioners and senior executives.

The role demands hands-on technical depth in both platforms. You'll independently build demo models and assets, stay current with platform features, and serve as a voice of the field back to the practice and platform partners. Anaplan Model Builder certification (Level 2+) and/or Pigment certification are preferred, along with presales or solution consulting experience from a software vendor or consulting firm. You should have a working understanding of core FP&A use cases—budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, scenario modeling—and the ability to make complex ideas clear and persuasive to senior stakeholders.

This is a hybrid role based in one of Accordion's US offices (Atlanta, among others), with flexibility to work remotely two days a week. The position offers $110,000–$165,000 annually plus benefits and bonus, and requires a bachelor's degree and willingness to travel to client sites. It's designed for a self-starter who thrives in a flat organization, takes initiative without waiting for direction, and is energized by presenting to rooms full of senior executives.
