Valued Experience

·       Events experience, including live or major sporting events.

·       Understanding of event commodities and how they are typically priced.

·       A pragmatic Cost and Procurement team that values accuracy and candor.

·       A direct hand in delivering the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

About this role

LA28 is building the cost management infrastructure for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and this role owns the financial picture for all venue infrastructure. You'll manage cost estimates as designs evolve, run the financial side of change orders, track spending against budget, and flag risks early to leadership. The work sits at the intersection of design, procurement, and delivery—your estimates directly shape which venue decisions move forward and which get reconsidered. You'll report to the Director of Cost and Procurement and partner closely with internal stakeholders and external contractors to keep the Games on budget.

The role demands at least five years in construction or real estate cost management, with proven experience preparing estimates for large-scale projects and managing change processes. You'll need strong stakeholder management skills across multiple teams and the ability to translate cost impacts for non-financial audiences. Background in major events, event commodities pricing, or temporary infrastructure is valued but not required.

This is a temporary, in-office position based in Downtown Los Angeles with a salary range of $88,000 to $115,000. The role will expand during peak periods and the Games themselves, potentially including evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Relocation assistance is not available, though LA28 welcomes applications from candidates able to work on-site.
