About this role

At The Ritz-Carlton in San Antonio, this role sits at the operational heart of the banquet department, requiring someone who can manage both the logistics and the people behind high-end events. You'll direct a banquet team through setup, service, and breakdown while owning the financial side—from liquor inventory and supply forecasting to labor scheduling that balances service standards with profitability. The work is hands-on; you'll lead shifts alongside your staff, interact directly with guests to gather feedback, and handle complaints with the composure expected at a luxury property.

Success here depends on your ability to move fluidly between detailed operational management and strategic team leadership. You'll need to understand food and beverage fundamentals, stay current with event trends and cuisine, and communicate clearly across kitchen staff, service teams, and meeting planners. The role calls for someone with at least two years in event management, food and beverage, or a related field—enough experience to project supply needs, apply knowledge of event laws, and mentor staff through monthly meetings and ongoing performance conversations.

This is a full-time, in-office position suited to someone who thrives in a structured, standards-driven environment and finds satisfaction in orchestrating complex events while building lasting client relationships and developing their team.
