About this role

At Stonefield Engineering and Design, this administrative assistant role serves as the operational backbone for a growing professional services firm. You'd be the first point of contact for clients, review agencies, and subcontractors, managing everything from visitor reception to correspondence preparation, billing support, and meeting coordination. The position demands strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities across diverse projects—you'll prepare technical documents, maintain office systems, assist with HR tasks, and handle the kind of detail-oriented work that keeps a fast-paced engineering firm running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has one to three years of administrative experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office and email systems, though a bachelor's degree is preferred rather than required. You'll need genuine interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, and the flexibility to adapt as priorities shift. Be prepared for occasional evening work around submission deadlines and special events. Stonefield emphasizes its team culture and mission-driven approach, and backs that up with a solid benefits package including comprehensive health coverage, 401(k) matching, generous PTO, and company-sponsored events.
