About this role
At the JW Marriott Berlin, a luxury hotel in the heart of the city, you'd join the engineering team as a Technical Specialist responsible for keeping the hotel's systems and spaces in top condition. Your work would span electrical, refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and plumbing systems, alongside hands-on maintenance tasks like repairs, painting, carpentry, and tiling across guest rooms and public areas. You'd respond to technical requests from guests and departments, conduct safety checks, and collaborate closely with housekeeping and engineering colleagues under the Director of Engineering.
This role suits someone with vocational training in a skilled trade—such as electronics, painting, or a comparable field—and ideally prior experience in hotel maintenance or a similar environment. You'll need solid German language skills and preferably some English, a genuine team orientation, a safety-conscious approach to your work, and the ability to maintain high standards of tidiness and guest service in everything you do.
The position is full-time and in-office at the Berlin location. Marriott offers a permanent contract, 30 days of annual vacation, transit pass coverage or free parking, subsidized gym membership, employee hotel stays, meal benefits, and access to online training. You'll also receive an upsell bonus and enjoy the perks of working within Marriott International's global hospitality network.
