About this role
DKB Code Factory is building a mobile banking platform for small and mid-sized businesses, and they're looking for a Junior Android Developer to help bring that vision to life in Berlin. You'd be working with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose to develop features that genuinely improve how customers experience banking, collaborating across product, design, and backend teams to turn requirements into working solutions. The role emphasizes both shipping features and building a scalable, modular architecture using MVVM and Kotlin Coroutines.
To succeed here, you'll need around one to three years of hands-on Android development experience—whether from professional work, internships, or substantial personal projects. Solid Kotlin knowledge and familiarity with Jetpack Compose are essential, along with a grasp of Android architecture components, asynchronous programming, and RESTful API integration. Beyond technical skills, the company values clean code, a genuine interest in testing and quality, and the ability to work collaboratively and communicate in English. Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, Material Design, or Agile workflows would strengthen your candidacy, and German language skills are a bonus.
The team emphasizes learning and growth as much as shipping features. They encourage applications even from candidates who don't tick every box, suggesting a genuine interest in potential and willingness to develop on the job. This is an in-office, full-time position in Berlin.
