About this role
Galaxy Service Partners is looking for a service technician to install, repair, and maintain automatic door systems across commercial sites in the Dayton area. You'll work with sliding, swing, and low-energy operators, diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues, performing safety inspections to ANSI/BHMA standards, and ensuring compliance. The role combines hands-on troubleshooting with customer interaction—each day involves a different site and a different problem to solve, from sensor faults to control programming.
You'll need at least two years of automatic door service experience, solid mechanical skills, and a working grasp of low-voltage electrical systems and wiring diagrams. A valid driver's license and clean record are required; you'll be managing your own service vehicle and responding to dispatched calls. Current AAADM certification is strongly preferred and the company will cover training costs for the right candidate. Experience with major manufacturers like Stanley, Horton, Nabco, or ASSA ABLOY is valuable, as is any background in welding or electrical work.
This is a full-time, in-office role based in Dayton. It suits someone who enjoys field work, problem-solving, and building customer relationships through reliable service—and who wants to develop deeper expertise in commercial access systems.
