About this role

Ascension's Pharmacy Advocate Technician internship in Kokomo offers hands-on experience across the full range of pharmacy operations within a major healthcare system. You'll work with automated dispensing systems, manage inventory, compound sterile and non-sterile medications, and handle the practical side of pharmacy work—from receiving supplies to repackaging bulk medications. The role also includes a patient-facing component: triaging incoming calls and serving as a liaison between the pharmacy, patients, and healthcare professionals.

To qualify, you must hold one of several credentials before your start date: an Intern Pharmacist license, Licensed Pharmacy Tech credential from Indiana, In Training Pharmacy Tech status, or Pharmacy Intern credential. A high school diploma or one year of relevant job experience can substitute for additional education requirements. The position is based in-office at Ascension's Kokomo location and is structured as an internship, making it well-suited for someone pursuing or early in a pharmacy career who already has the necessary state or professional credentials in place.
