Description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

Anduril's test sites are critical infrastructure that enable rapid development, integration, and validation of defense technology systems. We are seeking an operationally focused Test Site Facilities Manager to ensure our facilities remain mission-ready at all times. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining test site infrastructure, coordinating daily operations, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring facilities support high-tempo testing operations without disruption. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where facility readiness directly impacts mission outcomes.

What You'll Do

Infrastructure & Facility Operations

  • Own day-to-day operations of test site facilities including space allocation, access control, and operational logistics
  • Maintain mission-critical infrastructure systems: hangar doors, HVAC, electrical, lighting, and ground support equipment
  • Execute preventative maintenance programs to ensure zero unplanned downtime during critical test operations
  • Conduct regular facility inspections, identify issues early, and drive rapid resolution
  • Maintain accurate inventory tracking for facility equipment, parts, and supplies; manage maintenance documentation

Vendor & Contractor Management

  • Manage relationships with facility vendors and contractors; hold them accountable to performance standards and SLAs
  • Coordinate vendor activities including maintenance, repairs, and specialty services with minimal disruption to test operations
  • Negotiate service contracts and manage procurement for facility equipment and operational needs

Operational Coordination

  • Serve as primary facility contact for test operations teams, visiting partners, and government stakeholders
  • Coordinate facility access, scheduling, and service requests to support test events and demonstrations
  • Manage work order queue and prioritize tasks to keep facilities operationally ready
  • Collaborate across IT, finance, engineering, security, and test operations teams to solve facility challenges and drive initiatives forward

Leadership & Problem-Solving

  • Provide visible, on-the-ground leadership; set operational standards and hold teams accountable
  • Lead and develop a small facilities team; provide clear direction and regular feedback
  • Break down ambiguous operational problems into structured solutions; balance independent execution with cross-functional collaboration
  • Communicate facility status, risks, and needs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years in facility operations or facility management, ideally in hangar, aviation, or industrial environments
  • 3+ years of direct responsibility for facility maintenance, operations coordination, or project management
  • Hands-on experience with facility infrastructure: hangar doors, HVAC, electrical systems, lighting, and maintenance operations
  • Proven ability to manage 3-5+ concurrent facility projects or initiatives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
  • Strong vendor and contractor management skills; comfortable negotiating and holding partners accountable
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize in dynamic, unstructured environments
  • Strong technical communication skills; able to translate facility issues into clear language for diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency with facility management software, inventory systems, project management tools, and standard office software
  • Ability to read technical drawings, equipment manuals, and facility specifications
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours including evenings, weekends, and on-call availability for facility emergencies
  • Ability to work in hangar and outdoor environments with exposure to weather, noise, and industrial equipment
  • Frequent walking, standing, and climbing stairs/ladders to inspect facilities and equipment; ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
  • In this role, you will be subject to pre-employment substance screening and randomized substance screening, as required by the Company.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll own facility readiness across mission-critical systems like hangar doors, HVAC, electrical, and ground support equipment. You'll manage a small facilities team, coordinate with vendors and contractors to maintain performance standards, handle work order prioritization, and serve as the primary operational contact for test teams, partners, and government stakeholders. The role demands someone equally comfortable executing preventative maintenance programs, negotiating service contracts, and communicating facility status to both technical and non-technical audiences.
