About this role
Leading telecommunications infrastructure for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, this role demands someone who can translate complex technical requirements into reliable delivery across multiple venues. You'll work directly with Olympic Broadcast Services, carriers, technology integrators and venue teams to design and deploy secure, wireless-first networks that connect broadcast operations, venue infrastructure and event teams. The position sits at the intersection of engineering rigor, supplier management and operational readiness—you'll establish standards, challenge designs with technical judgment, coordinate testing and readiness cycles, and partner with cybersecurity to minimize vulnerabilities.
This is a role for a seasoned telecom engineer with 10+ years delivering large-scale projects, deep expertise in IP-WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN and broadcast circuits, and proven ability to work across carriers, vendors and regulatory bodies. Experience with major events—Olympic Games, World Cup, Super Bowl—is valued but not required; what matters is your track record translating innovation and sustainability into practical, secure infrastructure. You'll lead technical teams and suppliers, own delivery reporting and risk mitigation, and ultimately identify how Games infrastructure creates lasting community value.
The position is full-time, in-office in Downtown Los Angeles (no relocation assistance provided), with salary from $105,000 to $140,000. Expect frequent travel for venue inspections, variable hours including evenings and weekends especially as the Games approach, and the intensity of working under high pressure during peak preparation and execution periods. This role evolves from program management into operational responsibilities during the Games themselves.
