About this role
Onsemi's Protection & Signal Division is actively growing, and this spring internship puts you on a technical team working across applications, design, and product engineering in Scottsdale. You'll contribute to real product work—running applications testing for ESD and RF specifications, setting up lab equipment, and supporting the broader effort to bring protection products to market. It's a hands-on role that sits at the intersection of design validation and business development.
The position expects you to be at least a third-year BSEE or MSEE student with genuine lab and board design experience. You should be comfortable with simulation tools, have a solid foundation in electrical hardware, and know C or C++ programming. This isn't an introductory internship; it's built for someone who has already done coursework and projects in these areas and is ready to apply that knowledge in a professional engineering environment.
If you're a local candidate in the Phoenix area pursuing an electrical engineering degree and want exposure to protection and signal conditioning products in a real product development cycle, this could be a strong fit. The role is part-time and in-office, so you'll need to be based in or near Scottsdale.
