About this role
Windsor Advantage, a leading SBA and USDA lending platform serving over 100 lenders nationwide, is seeking a Chief of Staff to operate as the President's strategic partner and organizational backbone. You would own the company's operating rhythm—from leadership meeting cadence and decision tracking to board reporting and executive accountability—while serving as the connective tissue between Windsor, its parent company Capital Bank, and external stakeholders including regulators and auditors. This is fundamentally an execution and coordination role that requires influence without direct authority, disciplined follow-through, and the judgment to escalate appropriately.
Your responsibilities span financial reporting oversight, compliance and risk governance, cross-functional strategic initiative delivery, and organizational development. You'll coordinate month-end closes, lead audit and examination activities, support succession planning, and maintain enterprise-level visibility into operational and compliance risks. The role demands someone who can synthesize complex information across lending, accounting, operations, and compliance functions, then translate that into clear recommendations for leadership. Banking experience is preferred; SBA or USDA lending background is helpful but not required.
This full-time, in-office position in Chicago suits someone with a bachelor's degree, prior experience supporting executive leadership in a growth environment, and demonstrated capability managing competing priorities across functions. You should bring strong analytical skills, exceptional organizational discipline, executive presence, and the ability to build trusted relationships with internal leaders and external partners. The salary range is $125,000 to $165,000.
