  • Produce and maintain KPIs, trend analyses, risk assessments, and recommendations to support management decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Identify, assess, document, and escalate inventory constraints, expiry risks, release delays, forecast changes, and potential supply interruptions; support mitigation planning with the responsible Clinical Supply Manager.
  • Coordinate monthly supply-plan updates with Clinical Supply Managers, depot teams, manufacturers, and other external partners, and implement updates resulting from approved decisions.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to gather and track QA/QP release, GMP, shipment, importation, and other required documentation to support operational readiness.

About this role

Summit Therapeutics is seeking a Clinical Supply Planning Manager to serve as the operational backbone of its clinical supply chain across multiple global oncology trials. Based in Princeton, New Jersey, this role sits within the Supply Chain department and reports to the Associate Director of Clinical Supply, working to consolidate demand forecasts, maintain inventory visibility, and coordinate planning across Summit's network of depots, manufacturers, and external partners. You would manage planning data systems, develop supply scenarios, track risks and constraints, and prepare analytics and dashboards that inform leadership decisions on allocation, resupply, and resource prioritization.

The position demands someone with at least five years of experience in clinical supply planning or pharmaceutical/biotech supply chain operations, ideally with exposure to multi-study, globally distributed environments. You'll need strong Excel proficiency, a solid grasp of clinical supply fundamentals—demand forecasting, inventory management, shelf life, release readiness, and depot operations—and the ability to synthesize complex data into clear recommendations. A bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is required; equivalent relevant experience may substitute.

This role suits someone who thrives in cross-functional coordination, enjoys working with data and systems to solve operational problems, and can communicate effectively with both internal teams and external partners under the pressures of clinical timelines. The work is largely analytical and planning-focused rather than hands-on execution, and you would be supporting Clinical Supply Managers who retain final accountability for study-level decisions.
