About this role

At Ubiquity Management, the Tier II Technician role bridges field operations and customer support by handling the technical complexity that frontline teams escalate. You'll own fiber service deployments from activation through troubleshooting—remotely configuring ONT/OLT equipment, analyzing optical signals and network data to pinpoint root causes, and coordinating with field technicians to resolve issues affecting service quality. This is a hands-on technical position where you'll work across GPON/XGS-PON infrastructure, CPE devices, and network systems, while also contributing to process improvements and documenting solutions that strengthen team capabilities.

The role suits someone with at least five years in telecommunications or networking who can move fluidly between remote diagnostics and occasional field work. You'll need strong troubleshooting instincts, the ability to configure and support customer equipment, and clear communication skills to guide less technical teams through complex problems. Beyond the technical demands, you'll help maintain telecom hut infrastructure and identify patterns in recurring issues—work that directly impacts network reliability.

Ubiquity offers a hybrid arrangement based in the Keller, Texas area, along with medical and dental coverage, vision benefits, PTO, a 401(k) match, and the stability of a well-funded company focused on expanding connectivity in underserved communities.
