About this role
Steadfast Health is building a new addiction treatment clinic in Winston-Salem and seeking a licensed therapist to deliver individual and group therapy to patients with substance use disorders. You'd work within a collaborative care model alongside medical providers, peer recovery specialists, and support staff, using evidence-based approaches like CBT, MI, and DBT. The role includes conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, managing crisis situations, and participating in case consultations—all grounded in a non-paternalistic, harm-reductionist philosophy that treats patients as equals in their own recovery.
The position offers genuine stability: a $70,000–$80,000 salary that doesn't fluctuate with patient no-shows or caseload changes, plus a 5% performance bonus. You'll work Monday through Friday, 8:30–5:00, with no nights, weekends, or on-call duties, and one protected hour built into each day for documentation, supervision, and recharging. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage; employer-paid disability and life insurance; 401(k) matching; 29 days off annually plus four additional mental health days; and a CEU stipend for ongoing training.
You'll need North Carolina licensure as either an independent mental health provider (LCMHC, LMFT, or LCSW) paired with addiction credentials, or an associate-level mental health license paired with an independent LCAS. Steadfast explicitly welcomes candidates with lived experience in recovery and values diverse perspectives on care. If you're drawn to mission-driven work in a well-resourced, clinically supported environment focused on underserved populations, this role aligns with that commitment.
