About this role
Working in surgical supply chain at Luminis Health's Lanham facility means managing the flow of medical and surgical materials that keep nursing units functioning smoothly. You'll handle receiving and inventory control, develop appropriate supply par levels in collaboration with nursing staff, conduct routine restocking, and verify the accuracy of deliveries to ensure nothing runs short. The role also involves checking expiration dates, rotating stock, processing patient charges and credits, and maintaining documentation—all while building strong working relationships with clinical staff who depend on timely, reliable supply availability.
This position suits someone with inventory, distribution, or receiving experience, ideally in a healthcare setting. Prior work as a Distribution Technician is preferred, as is familiarity with medical terminology and inventory control systems. You'll be doing medium-level physical work, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, and should be prepared for potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens. No specific certifications are required to start.
Luminis Health offers full-time employees a standard benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement plan with employer match, paid time off and holidays, tuition assistance, and wellness programs. The salary range is $17 to $23.50 per hour.
