About this role
LG Energy Solution Arizona is seeking an Information Security Engineer II to protect the company's physical and intellectual assets at its Queen Creek battery manufacturing facility. You'll report to the local Security Manager while maintaining a matrix relationship with North America Security Operations, giving you exposure to both site-level and regional security strategy. The role spans a broad technical scope: conducting security assessments, developing policies and frameworks aligned with standards like NIST and ISO 27001, managing security tools (SIEM, firewalls, endpoint protection, CCTV), investigating incidents and logs, and ensuring compliance across manufacturing and logistics systems.
This position demands hands-on technical depth paired with cross-functional communication. You'll need at least three years in a manufacturing or construction environment, a bachelor's degree in IT or related field, and demonstrated expertise with vulnerability management, system integration, and forensic investigation. Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or Security+ are valued. Beyond technical troubleshooting, you'll negotiate vendor terms, manage IT asset inventory, support on-site production systems, and serve as the bridge between the Arizona facility and headquarters on security matters.
The role suits someone who thrives in a manufacturing context, balances strategic policy work with tactical incident response, and can adapt quickly as security needs evolve. If you're comfortable working in-office in a dynamic industrial environment and want to apply your security expertise to a high-stakes operation in battery technology, this is worth exploring.
