About this role
Daybreak Health is looking for a licensed therapist to provide individual video sessions to adults ages 18-60 through their telehealth platform, which operates in partnership with Kaiser Permanente. The role offers genuine scheduling flexibility—you set your own hours within an 8am-8pm PT window, seven days a week—and the company handles client matching and booking so you're not spending time on administrative overhead. Most clinicians maintain a 96% caseload fill rate with a minimum of five sessions weekly and no upper limit.
You'll need an active California license (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or LP) and prior experience delivering individual therapy to adults, including comfort with telehealth delivery. The work centers on evidence-based practice and building therapeutic relationships with clients managing mild-to-moderate mental health concerns, with an emphasis on culturally responsive care.
Compensation runs $75–$95 per session on a 1099 basis, with guaranteed pay for no-shows and cancellations. The package includes malpractice insurance, paid clinical consultation, an onboarding stipend, and free continuing education credits. This setup suits someone seeking contract flexibility and remote work without the overhead of a traditional practice, though you'll need to manage your own taxes and benefits as an independent contractor.
