We’re a fully remote team of 100+ spread across the U.S. from coast to coast. We operate on a strict no a**holes policy and are proud to have built a community of highly performant people that take our work seriously, but not ourselves. And, we're looking for exceptional people to help further accelerate our growth.
While we’ve raised $30MM+ to date from some of the world’s best investors, we’re profitable with a strong balance sheet and an indefinite runway. We pride ourselves on achieving rapid growth without having to incinerate capital.
About Our Products
ApartmentIQ is the all-in-one data platform powering smarter decisions across multifamily—covering 40M units with daily property and market intelligence used for surveys, research, and revenue management. We're trusted by 65% of the NMHC Top 50. Our sister company, MavenAI, delivers AI-powered marketing automation built by industry experts and integrated directly with property management systems, serving over 2M units.
We’re looking for a Technical Staff Product Manager to own ApartmentIQ’s data platform, the foundation behind the market intelligence multifamily operators rely on every day. This role is for someone with a data science or analytics background who is as comfortable writing SQL and digging into a pipeline as they are setting product direction.
You’ll set the vision and roadmap for how we ingest, model, validate, and deliver data, working closely with data engineering, data science, and product teams. When something looks off, you’ll dig in yourself: run the analysis, trace the issue to its root cause, and turn what you find into fixes and platform improvements. You’ll also work directly with customers to learn how they use our data,
Responsibilities
- Own the strategy and roadmap for the data platform, including ingestion, data models, data quality, and delivery to internal and customer facing products
- Lead root cause analysis on data quality issues, anomalies, and metric discrepancies, and work with engineering on fixes that last
- Define data quality standards, SLAs, and monitoring so issues are caught before they reach customers
- Partner with data engineering and data science to scope technical requirements, weigh tradeoffs, and prioritize the backlog
- Turn the needs of internal data users (product, analytics, data science, customer success) and multifamily operators into clear platform requirements
- Define and track the metrics that measure platform health, adoption, and business impact
- Evaluate data sources, vendors, and partnerships that expand the depth and accuracy of our market intelligence
- Explain technical concepts clearly to non technical stakeholders and leadership
Qualifications
- 8+ years of combined experience in product management, data science, or data analytics, including at least 4 years managing data products or data platforms
- Background in data science, analytics, or a quantitative field such as statistics, economics, or computer science
- A track record of root cause analysis on complex data issues, from spotting the anomaly to shipping the fix
- Solid understanding of modern data stack concepts: pipelines, ETL/ELT, data warehousing (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or similar), data modeling, and data quality tooling
- Experience working closely with data engineers and data scientists, with enough technical depth to earn their trust and challenge assumptions
- Ability to turn ambiguous, messy data problems into clear priorities and actionable product plans
- Experience in a fast moving B2B SaaS environment; real estate, PropTech, or market data experience is a plus

About this role
ApartmentIQ is seeking a Technical Staff Product Manager to lead the data platform that powers market intelligence for the multifamily housing industry. You'd own the full data lifecycle—from ingestion and modeling through validation and delivery—working at the intersection of product strategy and hands-on technical work. This means setting roadmap direction while also rolling up your sleeves to run SQL queries, investigate data anomalies, and trace issues to root cause when something doesn't look right.
The role demands someone with a quantitative background (data science, analytics, statistics, or similar) and at least four years managing data products or platforms. You'll partner closely with data engineering and data science teams, translate customer needs into platform requirements, define data quality standards and SLAs, and evaluate new data sources and partnerships. Success requires enough technical depth to earn engineers' trust and challenge their assumptions, while also explaining complex concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
This is a remote position at a profitable, growth-stage company serving 65% of the top 50 multifamily operators. ApartmentIQ has raised $30MM+ and operates with strong unit economics, offering competitive compensation, flexible time off, comprehensive health coverage, and 401k matching.
