About this role

Gravity Global is seeking an HR Generalist to build and support its people operations across the United States as the marketing consultancy scales. Based in Houston on a hybrid arrangement, this contract role sits at the intersection of day-to-day HR delivery and strategic alignment with the global People team. You'd handle the full employee lifecycle—onboarding, performance, wellbeing, and offboarding—while translating federal and state employment law into practical guidance for managers and employees. The position requires someone who can be both a trusted advisor to local leaders and a reliable operator managing HR systems, data accuracy, and compliance.

The role demands 4–5 years of HR Generalist experience with strong grounding in US employment law across federal, state, and local jurisdictions. Beyond technical HR knowledge, you'll need excellent communication skills to distill complex policies for different audiences, the organizational discipline to manage competing priorities, and the relationship-building confidence to work across time zones with global colleagues. You'll also contribute to broader People initiatives—performance, reward, engagement, wellbeing—helping adapt global programs to local context and feeding lessons back to the wider team.

This suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growing organization and genuinely enjoys solving people problems with both rigor and empathy. If you're comfortable with ambiguity, eager to improve processes, and want to make an impact on culture while managing real compliance and operational risk, this could be a strong fit.
