What You’ll Get to Do
Every day, CRL branches serve customers across the glass, glazing, hardware & metal solutions industries. Those customers need product on time. As our Planning Manager, you will be the business owner of how inventory is positioned across our branch network. You will shape the SAP planning strategy that keeps branches stocked, customers served & inventory investment efficient.
This role has real influence & visibility. You will work with Branch Operations, Procurement & Logistics, and your decisions will affect service levels across the network.
Job responsibilities include:
- Lead inventory planning & replenishment across all CRL distribution branches
- Own SAP planning parameters, including MRP settings, safety stock levels, reorder points & replenishment rules
- Design & execute branch-to-branch and warehouse-to-branch Stock Transfer Order (STO) strategies
- Spot inventory imbalances early & move stock to where demand is
- Partner with Branch Operations, Procurement & Logistics to resolve shortages & improve deployment
- Drive continuous improvement & automation of planning processes within SAP
- Contribute to SAP enhancements, system upgrades & planning projects
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years in inventory planning, replenishment, procurement or supply chain operations
- Strong working knowledge of SAP MM, MRP & STO processes
- Experience managing inventory across a multi-site distribution network
- Strong analytical, problem-solving & leadership skills
- A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations or a related field, or 5+ years of procurement leadership experience in place of a degree
- Planning certifications (CPIM / CSCP) preferred

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope's CRL distribution network serves customers across glass, glazing, hardware, and metal solutions—and this Planning Manager role puts you in charge of keeping that network supplied efficiently. You'll own the SAP planning strategy for inventory positioning across multiple branches, managing MRP settings, safety stock levels, reorder points, and stock transfer orders. Your decisions directly affect service levels and inventory investment across the entire network, giving you real visibility and influence within the organization.
The role demands five or more years in inventory planning, replenishment, procurement, or supply chain operations, with strong hands-on knowledge of SAP MM, MRP, and STO processes. You'll need proven experience managing inventory across multi-site distribution networks and solid analytical and leadership skills. A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Operations is expected, though five-plus years of procurement leadership can substitute; planning certifications like CPIM or CSCP are preferred. You'll work closely with Branch Operations, Procurement, and Logistics teams to resolve shortages, spot imbalances early, and drive continuous improvement and automation within SAP.
The position is full-time and in-office in Albertville, Minnesota, with a salary range of $95,000 to $110,000.
