Description

We're looking for a motivated Talent Acquisition Intern to join our People Department and gain hands-on experience in recruiting and Human Resources within a manufacturing environment. You'll support the full recruiting lifecycle for our hourly manufacturing teams, from sourcing and screening candidates to coordinating interviews and creating a positive candidate experience. You'll also contribute to employer branding, team member engagement, and People Department projects. This is a great opportunity for a student eager to learn, take initiative, and make a meaningful impact.

Who We Are

Landscape Forms is the industry leader in integrated solutions of high-design site furniture and advanced LED lighting. For more than 50 years, we've created site furnishings that help designers and clients build beautiful, functional environments that enhance the experience of outdoor spaces.

Our secret is simple: Design, Culture, and Craft drive everything we do.

How You Contribute

Talent Acquisition & Recruiting

  • Support full-cycle recruiting for hourly manufacturing positions, with opportunities to take on greater responsibility as skills and experience develop.
  • Partner with People Department team members and hiring leaders to understand staffing needs and position requirements.
  • Source and engage prospective candidates through job boards, outreach, and other recruiting channels.
  • Conduct initial phone screens, evaluate candidate qualifications, and coordinate next steps with hiring leaders.
  • Assist with interview scheduling, candidate communication, and recruitment coordination.
  • Maintain accurate candidate information and recruiting activity in our Applicant Tracking System (Greenhouse).
  • Help track recruiting metrics, identify trends, and recommend opportunities to improve our hiring processes.

Candidate Experience & Employer Branding

  • Help create a welcoming, responsive, and organized experience for candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Support our Select for Talent approach to identifying and evaluating candidates.
  • Assist with recruiting campaigns, job advertisements, and employer branding initiatives.
  • Research and recommend creative ways to attract and engage prospective candidates.
  • Participate in career fairs, hiring events, school partnerships, and community outreach activities.

People Department Projects & Engagement

  • Assist with planning and coordinating team member engagement activities, recognition events, and company gatherings.
  • Support special projects involving internal communications, surveys, reporting, and process improvements.
  • Help coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, materials, and communications.
  • Collaborate with People Department team members to learn about different areas of Human Resources.
  • Contribute ideas that strengthen our team member experience and support our culture.

What You'll Gain

This internship is designed to provide practical experience and professional development in Talent Acquisition and Human Resources. You'll have opportunities to:

  • Gain hands-on experience with sourcing, screening, interviewing, and the full recruiting lifecycle.
  • Learn how recruiting strategies support manufacturing operations and broader business goals.
  • Develop experience using Greenhouse and other HR and recruiting technologies.
  • Build professional communication, interviewing, organization, and relationship-building skills.
  • Gain exposure to employment practices, hiring processes, and candidate evaluation.
  • Collaborate with hiring leaders and experienced People Department professionals.
  • Participate in meaningful projects that allow you to apply classroom knowledge in a professional setting.

What You Bring

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • An interest in Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, and working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect professionally with a variety of individuals.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A willingness to learn, ask questions, accept feedback, and take initiative.

About this role

Landscape Forms, a 50-year-old leader in site furniture and LED lighting based in Kalamazoo, is seeking a Talent Acquisition Intern to support recruiting for its hourly manufacturing teams. You'd own pieces of the full hiring cycle—sourcing candidates, conducting initial screens, scheduling interviews, and maintaining records in Greenhouse—while partnering with the People Department and hiring leaders to understand staffing needs. Beyond recruiting, you'd contribute to employer branding initiatives, help coordinate hiring events and career fairs, and assist with team engagement activities and internal HR projects.

This role is designed for a current bachelor's student in HR, Business Administration, or a related field who wants practical exposure to how recruiting supports manufacturing operations. You'll develop skills in candidate evaluation, professional communication, and HR technology while learning from experienced People Department professionals. The internship runs through spring 2027 (up to 30 hours per week, flexible scheduling around classes), with potential to expand to full-time over the summer and transition to a permanent role if both sides are interested.

The position values initiative, strong communication, and organizational ability over prior recruiting experience. You should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, handling confidential information professionally, and learning new systems. If you're genuinely interested in talent acquisition and want hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, this offers real responsibility and mentorship rather than administrative busy work.
