Role Purpose

You will help shape the application stack that teams across LA28 rely on to plan and deliver the Olympic and Paralympic Games. You will translate operational requests into clear requirements, evaluate vendors and solutions, and guide new applications from discovery through go-live, including the Incident Management System. This role spans technology, procurement and operations, offering career-defining exposure for an inquisitive, hands-on analyst and administrator who asks why before how and enjoys establishing systems from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirement gathering sessions with cross-functional stakeholders, asking probing questions and documenting functional specifications, user journeys and acceptance criteria.
  • Evaluate solutions to business needs across the existing technology applications stack with the Technology Applications team.
  • Partner with Technology procurement to assess vendors and software through vendor scorecards, product demonstrations and technical assessments.
  • Support implementation of the Incident Management System (IMS) and other applications, managing configuration, user training, operational workflows and Games-time readiness.
  • Lead application rollout workstreams and stakeholder communications, maintaining project charters, risk registers, requirements and project plans through go-live.

Required Competencies

  • 4+ years of progressive professional experience in business systems analysis, SaaS application administration, technical requirements gathering and software project coordination.
  • Demonstrated expertise in requirements elicitation techniques such as interviews, process flow mapping, use cases, user stories and gap analyses.
  • Hands-on experience supporting enterprise application implementations and formal software selection, including RFP processes, vendor evaluation frameworks and contracting handoffs.
  • Proven background as a hands-on Application Administrator, managing user provisioning, permission schemas, custom workflows, audit logs and system integrations.
  • Familiarity with project management and collaboration platforms such as Jira, Smartsheet, Asana, Azure DevOps, Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Project.

Valued Experience

  • Direct experience with Incident Management Systems, ticketing or operational tracking platforms.
  • Application administration certifications for enterprise software platforms.
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience building vendor scorecards and running structured product demonstrations.
  • Experience training end users on newly deployed enterprise applications.

What We Offer

  • Career-defining exposure across technology, procurement and operations teams preparing for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
  • Ownership of business applications that teammates across LA28 rely on every day.
  • Transferable expertise in enterprise systems, vendor management and large-scale implementation.
  • A collaborative, mission-driven team that values co-creation, integrity, excellence and pragmatic progress.

About this role

LA28 is building the technology backbone for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and this role puts you at the center of that effort. As Senior Associate for Platform Applications, you'll own the full lifecycle of business systems that operational teams depend on daily—from translating stakeholder needs into requirements, through vendor evaluation and selection, to implementation and go-live. You'll work hands-on with an Incident Management System and other enterprise applications, managing configuration, user training, and readiness. This is a rare opportunity to shape systems architecture and procurement strategy for a massive, time-bound event while working across technology, operations, and procurement teams.

The role demands 4+ years of progressive experience in business systems analysis, SaaS administration, and software implementation. You'll need proven skill in requirements gathering (interviews, process mapping, user stories), hands-on application administration (user provisioning, workflows, integrations), and formal software selection processes including RFPs and vendor evaluation. Familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Smartsheet, or Microsoft 365 is essential. Direct experience with incident management platforms, end-user training, or project management certifications would strengthen your candidacy.

This is a full-time, in-office role in Downtown Los Angeles with a base salary of $73,000–$98,000. LA28 does not offer relocation assistance, so you'll need to be able to work on-site consistently. Hours will vary, especially as the Games approach, with potential evening and weekend work during peak periods. If you thrive on building systems from the ground up and want hands-on exposure across multiple business functions on a defining project, this role offers substantial career development.
