Why this role matters
In your first year, you will implement and roll out a comprehensive Environmental Health and Safety program that ensures compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. This role is vital to maintaining a safe and sustainable site, enabling Flora Food Group to scale its operations responsibly. By safeguarding personnel and environmental safety, you directly support our mission to deliver better food while protecting the communities and kitchens we serve. What you'll do

  • Implement and maintain the site-wide safety program to meet regulatory standards.
  • Act as the onsite environmental steward, ensuring compliance with environmental laws and policies.
  • Monitor and report on key safety metrics such as recordable incident rate, lost time incident rate, and near miss reporting.
  • Develop and deliver safety training to foster a proactive safety culture among all employees.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve safety performance and regulatory compliance.

Performance
You will own the safety program’s success, measured by improvements in safety performance indicators including reduced incident rates and increased near miss reporting. Your data-driven approach will ensure regulatory compliance and support the site’s ability to scale sustainably. Delivering consistent safety results will strengthen operational reliability and protect our people and environment.

Care
This role reports directly to the site manager and works closely with operations, human resources, and environmental teams. Passion
You bring a genuine care for creating safe, healthy workplaces that support the production of better food. Your curiosity about environmental stewardship and safety innovation will help raise the bar for how we protect our people and planet. You understand that reliability in safety is as essential as taste and nutrition in our products, and you take pride in contributing to a sustainable future for food.

About you

You are confident in managing compliance with OSHA and EPA standards and skilled at engaging teams to build a positive safety culture.
