You would work in-office in Ashburn, Virginia on a contract basis, serving as a critical liaison between CBP Contracting Officers, Contracting Officers' Representatives, and internal business teams. The role centers on the full lifecycle of government contracts—from proposal distribution and solicitation preparation through invoice processing, modification tracking, and closeout documentation. You'd manage task orders, delivery orders, and purchase orders across multiple contract types, ensure compliance with federal regulations like the Prompt Payment Act, and maintain detailed contract files and databases.
This position demands deep expertise in federal acquisition processes and a minimum of ten years of contracting experience within a government agency, with recent and preferably direct experience supporting DHS or CBP. You'll need a bachelor's degree, solid knowledge of various contract vehicles (IDIQ, cost-type, T&M, fixed-price), and the ability to navigate complex, mission-critical requirements while juggling multiple priorities. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly across government and contractor stakeholders are essential. An active CBP clearance is preferred, and you must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain required clearance.
The role is offered at $110,000 annually, with benefits including health insurance, paid leave, performance bonuses, 401(k) matching, and professional development support. DAWIA Contracting Professional or FAC-C certification is desired but not required.
