Description
We are seeking an ambitious, highly strategic PEO Producer to join our expanding Commercial Division. In this role, you will focus on consultative business-to-business (B2B) sales, helping small-to-midsize business owners streamline their human resources, employee benefits, payroll processing, workers' compensation, and regulatory compliance through tailored PEO and co-employment solutions.
At Sihle Insurance Group, our Producers are supported by a large team of dedicated Account Managers who handle operational servicing and administrative details—allowing you to stay focused on networking, building client relationships, and closing high-value accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business Acquisition: Identify, prospect, and secure new business clients requiring PEO, HR outsourcing, payroll, and employee benefits co-employment arrangements.
- Consultative Discovery & Analysis: Evaluate business prospects' current HR infrastructure, payroll structures, workers' comp exposure, and employee benefits packages to identify operational gaps and cost-saving opportunities.
- PEO Vendor Selection & Proposals: Partner with leading PEO market providers to design and present customized co-employment proposals to CEOs, CFOs, HR Directors, and business owners.
- Strategic Networking: Develop strong referral pipelines through centers of influence (CPAs, labor attorneys, commercial brokers, financial advisors) and active participation in local business associations.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work alongside Sihle’s Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, and Bonding divisions to cross-sell comprehensive risk management and insurance solutions to existing agency accounts.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience: 3+ years of active, successful sales experience selling PEO solutions, HR outsourcing, payroll services, or commercial employee benefits.
- Licensing: Active Florida Property & Casualty (2-20) and/or Life & Health (2-15) license preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Profile & Mindset: Proven track record as a proactive, self-motivated "hunter" with an entrepreneurial mindset—focused on building long-term, high-margin client portfolios rather than transactional, short-term sales.
- Industry Acumen: Strong understanding of co-employment models, workers' compensation administration, employment practices liability (EPLI), payroll taxes, and group health/benefits structures.
- Communication & Financial Skills: Superior presentation, consultative negotiation, and financial analysis skills required to interface directly with executive leadership.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred. Relevant professional designations (e.g., Certified PEO Specialist, REBC, CLU) are a plus.
Benefits
- Flexible Earnings Structures:
- W2 Option: Competitive base salary (tailored to experience) combined with commission incentives.
- 1099 Option: High-tier straight commission split at 40% New / 40% Renewal.
- Equity Milestone: Opportunity to secure vested equity in your book of business upon reaching $1 Million in revenue.
- 100% Company-Paid Core Benefits:
- 100% Company-Paid Medical Insurance
- 100% Company-Paid Dental Insurance
- 100% Company-Paid Life and AD&D Policies
- Comprehensive Support & Perks:
- Exceptional Account Manager-to-Producer support ratios to maximize sales focus.
- 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.
- On-site/sponsored Continuing Education (CE) classes and professional development support.
- Professional, collaborative, and financially stable work environment with competitive profit-sharing opportunities.

About this role
UP's Commercial Division is looking for a PEO Producer to drive new business acquisition in Florida, selling co-employment and HR outsourcing solutions to small and midsize business owners. You'd work remotely, focusing on consultative sales to C-suite executives and business owners—identifying their HR, payroll, and compliance gaps, then designing tailored PEO proposals in partnership with leading vendors. The role emphasizes relationship-building and networking with centers of influence like CPAs and attorneys, plus cross-selling opportunities across UP's other divisions.
You'll need at least three years of proven sales experience in PEO, HR outsourcing, payroll, or employee benefits, ideally backed by a Florida P&C (2-20) or Life & Health (2-15) license. Strong financial acumen and the ability to consult at the executive level are essential. A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or HR is preferred, and relevant credentials like Certified PEO Specialist or REBC are a plus. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated hunter with an entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable building high-margin client portfolios over the long term.
Compensation is flexible: you can choose a W2 structure with base salary and commission, or go 1099 with a 40/40 split on new and renewal business. Once your book reaches $1 million in revenue, you can earn vested equity. UP covers medical, dental, life, and AD&D insurance fully, offers a 401(k) match, and provides continuing education support. Strong Account Manager backing means you stay focused on sales rather than operations.
