About this role
UP's Commercial Lines Producer role offers significant earning potential for an experienced insurance sales professional ready to focus purely on business development. With a salary range of $90,000–$200,000 and flexible compensation options (W2 with base plus commission, or 1099 straight commission at 40/40 split), the role rewards producers who can consistently win and retain mid-market and large commercial accounts. You'll work remotely across Florida and the Southeast, prospecting new business, conducting risk consultations, and negotiating with top-tier carriers—all while backed by a dedicated team of Account Managers handling the administrative and service work.
The position suits someone with at least three years of proven B2B commercial insurance sales experience, an active Florida P&C license, and a hunter's mentality. You'll need solid technical grounding in core commercial lines (property, liability, workers' comp, auto, umbrella, cyber) and strong relationship skills to engage C-suite decision-makers. A bachelor's degree and professional designations like CIC or CPCU are preferred but not required.
Beyond compensation, UP offers 100% company-paid medical, dental, and life insurance, a 401(k) with company contribution, and the chance to build equity in your book of business once it hits $1 million in revenue. The company provides ongoing CE support and professional development, plus an unusually high Account Manager-to-Producer ratio designed to keep you selling rather than drowning in paperwork.
