About this role

Westbrook Service Corporation is hiring a Pipefitter Mechanic for their Orlando operations, a full-time role working Monday through Friday day shifts with occasional evening work and scheduled weekend availability. You'll earn between $20 and $34 per hour depending on experience, with overtime opportunities available.

The position centers on reading blueprints and work orders, then executing the installation, repair, and maintenance of pipe systems. Your day involves measuring, cutting, bending, threading, and installing pipes; operating specialized tools like torches, threaders, and welding equipment; and inspecting completed work to verify it meets safety and municipal standards. You'll also handle component replacement—tanks, valves, gauges, filters, and fittings—and troubleshoot leaks and system failures. The role requires independent judgment to determine methods and solve problems, though you'll coordinate with a team.

To qualify, you need a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of hands-on pipefitter or junior mechanic experience, plus the ability to read blueprints confidently and hold a valid driver's license. Westbrook offers substantial benefits including health insurance (87% company-paid), PTO, paid holidays and sick days, 401k matching up to 7.5%, and a gas stipend. The company also funds NCCER apprenticeship certification, manufacturer training, and leadership development. The hiring process includes drug testing, background check, driving record review, and reference checks.
