About this role
Jetvia operates the country's largest Learjet fleet and is seeking a Cirrus SR22 charter pilot based in Austin to fly executives throughout the Southern United States, with the secondary responsibility of rapid-response ferry missions for aircraft on the ground across the Southeast. The role demands availability to launch within 60 minutes of dispatch and may require temporary station assignments at other airports during peak periods. You'll log 25–50+ hours monthly as pilot in command, handling flight planning, weight and balance calculations, pre-flight inspections, and direct client interaction.
The position is built as a stepping stone: after accumulating 500 hours with Jetvia, you can transition to the right seat on a Learjet 60, either at Jetvia or with one of its partner operators. Jetvia will cover your Cirrus transition training at no cost. The company emphasizes safety and accountability, offering a structured benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life coverage; a 401(k) with dollar-for-dollar match up to 3%; stock options vesting from day one; and a minimum of five days off per month plus $12,000 annual per diem.
You'll need a commercial and instrument rating, first-class medical certificate, 1,200 total flight hours (with at least 100 in Cirrus aircraft), and the ability to relocate within 30 minutes of Austin's airport. Prior Cirrus experience and a CFI certificate are preferred but not required. Note that charter operations are conducted under a partner's Part 135 certificate, so you may fall under that partner's drug and alcohol policy despite being employed by Jetvia.
